Going West
The guys did a good job. From instruments to engineer. It’s just the feeling that I’m never finding my feet. Lying in bed in a locomotive roadhouse outside of Des Moines, watching the red sun set. Halfway across America from the home I knew. Lost. At my most beautiful. Looking down from the tower asking. Asking. Who am I? West is all I know. It’s a direction to me, not a place. And I’ve never been before.
